19.04.2026 On January 21, 2025, the state scientific institution Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences hosted the Botany section as part of the republican student conference "The First Step into Science", dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science (the conference was organized by the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus). The session was attended by students in grades 10-11, who presented 19 reports on various aspects of botany. The young scientists presented the results of their research activities in the field of studying flora and the conservation of biological diversity. Each report was presented with a high level of preparation, which allowed the participants and organizers to discuss topical issues and the latest scientific achievements. The Botany section has become an important stage in the educational and scientific activities of students, allowing them not only to demonstrate their knowledge, but also to expand their horizons in the field of botany and ecology, develop skills in presenting research results and the ability to conduct a discussion on the topic of scientific research. The conference "The First Step into Science" continues to inspire young people to further research and discover new scientific horizons.
