04.06.2026 On May 8, 2025, in the Victory Glade of the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, as part of the patriotic campaign "Victory Lilac — Garden of Peace", a solemn event was held to plant lilac seedlings dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The purpose of the event is to preserve the historical memory of the heroic feat of the defenders of the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, as well as to emphasize the importance of generational continuity and the desire for peace. This year, the planting of lilacs in the Central Botanical Garden was initiated by the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The event was attended by members of the Bureau of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, young scientists of the Botanical Garden. The director of the Botanical garden, Fyodor Ivanovich Privalov, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the event. "Victory Lilac — Garden of Peace" is not only a tribute to the heroic past, but also the contribution of young scientists to the formation of a living memory that unites the present and the future.
