Plants born in glass! Lecture and workshop

24.04.2026 - 26.04.2026
Do you want to learn how to grow plants that were born in a laboratory? Come to the unique workshop on clonal micropropagation of plants and their adaptation "Plants born in glass", where science becomes available!

Date: April 24-26, 2026
Start time: 13:00
Location: Botanical Garden (conference hall of the exposition greenhouse)
Format: lecture + practical exercises
Age restrictions: 10+
Pre-registration is required!

More and more plants are entering the market in the form of clones grown in the laboratory (in vitro). However, many amateurs face difficulties in adapting them: plants often die due to a lack of understanding of their physiological characteristics.

We will help you understand the intricacies of working with such plants! At the workshop "Plants born in glass", laboratory specialists will reveal the secrets of growing clonal plants and teach them how to adapt them correctly at home.

What awaits you

1. Lecture "How clonal plants actually live"
You will get acquainted with the basics of plant biotechnology in an accessible form and learn:
  • what are plants in vitro?;
  • how do they differ from traditional planting materials?;
  • why are there difficulties in growing them;
  • how the processes of growing clonal plants in the laboratory work.
2. Workshop "How to grow a clonal plant"
In the practical lesson, you will master the key stages of adaptation of plants grown in vitro:
  • extraction of plants from a sterile environment;
  • removing the nourishing gel;
  • creating optimal conditions for survival;
  • step-by-step adaptation at home.
3. Workshop "Transplanting potted plants into the open ground"
You will gain practical skills and learn:
  • principles of transplanting plants from containers;
  • features of adaptation to the open ground;
  • methods of reducing stress factors;
  • common mistakes and ways to prevent them.
The practical lecture will be very useful
  • for indoor plant lovers and gardeners.;
  • for beginners and experienced collectors;
  • members of the green hobby community;
  • anyone who wants to better understand plants and modern technologies of their cultivation.
Why you should come
  • A combination of theory and practice. Get the knowledge and put it into practice right away.
  • Simple language. Complex processes can be explained in an accessible and understandable way.
  • Error analysis. Learn about the typical mistakes when growing clonal plants and learn how to avoid them.
  • Communication with specialists. Ask any questions to the experts and get a professional answer.
Do not miss the chance to master modern plant cultivation methods under the guidance of experienced biotechnologists!
