Liriodendron does not begin to bloom soon, but only 10-15 years after planting. The flowering period of these trees is about two weeks. And, by the way, this tree is a long-liver. Liriodendron can grow up to 200 years or more. Some interesting facts… Like magnolias, the tulip tree is a very ancient plant. It is known that liriodendron was widespread in the Cretaceous period, when dinosaurs still lived on Earth. This plant is native to North America and is the national symbol of the American states of Indiana, Tennessee and Kentucky. The tulip tree is considered one of the most honey-producing plants. Its flowers have a light, fresh, slightly sweet and delicate aroma that attracts many bees and bumblebees. The wood of the liriodendron has a lemon hue and is used to make musical instruments, as well as original souvenirs. According to ancient legends, a wish made under a tulip tree will certainly come true. In Belarus, liriodendrons are found in ancient parks and botanical gardens.
